Terms of service
By placing an order, you agree to the following conditions:
Section 1: Payment
Payment for the total order cost must be paid in full before your order can be guaranteed and dispatched. We accept card payments for goods purchased through the website, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro/Switch. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Paypal are also available. We reserve the right to cancel any orders which we believe to be fraudulent or that do not pass the required security checks. Card details are not stored are processed through our secure payment provider.
Section 2: Age Verification
We strictly adhere to legal requirements and will not sell our products to anyone under 18 years of age. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are purchasing a a product as a gift, the recipient must also be 18 years old or older. Our couriers may request identification if the recipient's age is in question. Failure to provide appropriate ID may result in non-delivery of the products.
Section 3: Delivery
There are several options available for nationwide UK delivery. All delivery options are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to change without prior notice. Delivery times may be impacted by stock availability or unforeseen circumstances.
Once we have dispatched the goods to our third-party courier, we cannot be held responsible for any failure on their part to deliver within the estimated timeframe, or indeed at all. It its the customer's responsibility to ensure all contact information and delivery address details for the recipient given are correct; we cannot accept any responsibility or costs for non-delivery to the intended recipient or losses in such circumstances. Refunds cannot be requested for missed or failed deliveries.
On the day of delivery our third-party couriers will attempt to deliver between 8am and 8pm. If no one is home to take delivery, the courier will attempt to leave the parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour. We advise that you manage your shipping via the courier notifications/app and specify your own 'safe place' or preferred neighbour for deliveries to be made.
If in the judgement of the delivery driver there is no obvious safe place or neighbour, in which to leave the parcel, a card/text message/app notification will be left with instructions to rearrange delivery. The parcel will be returned to the depot. it is the purchaser's responsibility to make contact by calling the phone number on the card, or using the app, to arrange redelivery for another day (Monday to Friday or charges may apply). We cannot accept responsibility or costs for deliveries where the recipient has to initiated contact with the courier to rearrange delivery; this remains wholly the responsibility of the purchaser. We strongly recommend the the sender advises the recipient to expect a delivery.
Section 4: Order Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
You have the option to cancel your order within seven days of receiving the goods, but you are responsible for the initial delivery cost and the return of unopened and undamaged products.
To cancel an order, please email our Customer Services at: info@ruddersrum.co.uk. All credits will be issued within 30 days of cancellation, provided the goods are returned within that period.
We ensure that all our products leave us in perfect condition. In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with the product or service received, please contact us via email to info@ruddersrum.co.uk within 48 hours of receiving the item or expected delivery date. We may ask you to return the item to us in the original packaging so we can investigate the problem and rectify it, or if appropriate, provide a refund. Please be advised, all disputes must be communicated to us by email, with supporting evidence (including but not limited to photographs). Disputes made via social media platforms, review sites or by telephone will not be accepted. Please be advised that we do not refund the cost of postage should you return an item, nor are we responsible for the return being lost. We will not accept liability for any complaints made after this time.
Section 5: Claims for Breakages
Upon receiving your order, ensure that it is intact and complete. Any breakages or shortages must be reported to the courier at the time of delivery. Do not accept the parcel if it is damaged. Claims for breakages or shortages cannot be accepted without documentation from the courier. Confirmation of breakages or shortages must reach us within two working days of delivery.
Section 6: Pricing, VAT & Discount Codes
Our product prices are clearly listed on our website. In the rare event of a pricing error, we reserve the right not to fulfill orders at the incorrect price. We will always notify you before dispatch if such a situation arises. All prices include VAT unless stated otherwise. Please note that delivery charges are not included in the product price and will be determined at the time of your order, as specified in the delivery section of our website. Any discount codes offered are subject to change and availability and may only be used during their period of validity. Only one discount code can be used per order.
Section 7: Photography
We reserve the right to use photographs of orders we prepare on our website, blog, instagram pages and Facebook pages (although not limited to just those media specified here). Should you wish to request that we do not use images of your order, please advise us at the time of ordering by using the notes box on the checkout page. Please note, photography displayed on the website may be for illustrative purposes only, and items may appear different in colour and appearance on receipt.
Section 8: Design & Colour Disclaimer
Labels, branding and packaging may vary as we use different suppliers, therefore you may see differences compared to the product image.
Section 9: Legal Information
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. All rights of trademarks, designs, logos, texts and all other products are under our sole copyright. This website is protected by copyright. medications, reproductions or any imitation or copy is forbidden. Legal action will be taken against you for violations. This site is owned and operated by Rudder's Rum.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes on our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Your continued use of, or access to our website or the Service(s) following the posting of any changes to these Terms of Serves constitutes acceptance of those changes.
